Established in 2020 by Marisol Stoneham BSc, Stoneham Therapy is on the forefront of efficient, effective Case Management. Providing effective and empathetic rehabilitation is our ongoing aim and focus.

Our hardworking team of professional Case Managers and Occupational Therapists are here to provide client centred, professional and compassionate service.

In addition to Case Management we offer Occupational Therapy Services with our experienced associates working in specialised fields of spinal injury, complex orthopaedics, amputation, poly trauma and brain injury.

Stoneham Therapies operates as an independent Case Management and Occupational Therapy service and as part of the Independence Works Network of Case Managers and Occupational Therapists.

Marisol Stoneham - BSc Occupational Therapy. Founder of Stoneham Therapy
North Yorkshire

Marisol Stoneham founded Stoneham Therapy in 2020 after working as a Case Manager and Occupational Therapist in the public and private sectors. A member of RCOT, CMSUK, BABICM and ICO Marisol is highly professional and respected in the world of Case Management. After an impressive and successful career, Marisol founded her own company bringing her vast experience within the litigation process as well as settling high value claims.
Marisol is highly skilled and experienced, she specialises in the Case Management of adults and teenagers primarily following catastrophic brain injury, spinal injuries, amputations and those facing psychological and behavioural challenges.

Jo Pooleman - Administration and Case Manager Assistant
Since April 2021 Jo has provided the admin support for Stoneham Therapy.
Jo’s role is to ensure the efficient day-to-day operation of Stoneham Therapy. Previously she ran her own business making children’s clothes and before that worked as a health care assistant for Harrogate District. This combination of professional skills and knowledge makes Jo a highly effective administrator for the Stoneham Therapy Team.

Charlotte Christie - Administration and Case Manager Assistant
Since April 2023, Charlotte has joined the admin team at Stoneham Therapy. Charlotte's role is to support in the efficient day-to-day running of Stoneham therapy. For the last 20 years, Charlotte has been at home bringing up her children. Before becoming a mum, Charlotte was a Pupil Support Assistant both in Primary and Secondary schools, and completed two degrees. Charlotte's first degree was in the study of language and psychology, and her second degree was a masters in medical science and qualified her as a Speech and Language Therapist. This combination of professional skill and experience qualifies her as a highly effective administrator and great asset to the team.
Lauren Cregeen - BSc Occupational Therapy
Associate Case Manager and Occupational Therapist at Stoneham Therapy

Lauren joined Stoneham Therapy Services in 2022 as an experienced and skilled acute, rehabilitation and community occupational therapist specialising in major adaptations.
Lauren qualified as an occupational therapist in 2014 and has worked within occupational therapy for over fourteen years. Her passion and knowledge for the sector has enabled her to gain experience in a range of clinical specialties including: acute neurosurgery, acute neurology, stroke rehabilitation, elective orthopaedics, cardiology, oncology, and vascular surgery.

Claire Laycock - BSc Occupational Therapy
Associate Case Manager and Occupational Therapist at Stoneham Therapy

Claire joined the Stoneham Therapy team in 2022 as an experienced and skilled Case Manager and Occupational Therapist. Qualifying in 2008, Claire specialises in neuro critical care including stroke, low arousal level patients, acquired spinal injuries, neuro-oncology, acquired and brain injuries. Claire is a specialist in tonal management, postural management, patients in disorders of consciousness (SMART accredited for NHS role), cognitive rehabilitation, capacity and behavioural management. She is the lead Occupational Therapist for Neurosurgery at Leeds Teaching Hospital Trust. She leads in the development of the neurosurgery pathway and supervises and develops junior OT staff. Claire is a proactive and effective Case Manager highly experienced in complex neuro-rehabilitation

Susie is a dedicated and highly experienced Occupational Therapist with 25 years of service predominantly within the NHS.Susie joined the Stoneham Therapy Services team as an associate Case Manager in 2023 bringing her proven clinical expertise to the team.Her specialisms include hand splinting, paediatrics, specialist equipment and housing adaptations.She is adept at assessing functional strengths and challenges as well as providing tailored therapeutic interventions and offering equipment solutions whilst collaborating within multi-disciplinary teams.

Qualifying in 2014, Sarah specialises in Neurosurgery including acquired brain injuries, neuro-oncology, stroke, and spinal injuries.
